Tranny / T-case help

I have a 85 CJ7 with a 258/T5/300.

OK, So if I had a 86 waggy with a 360 auto could I mount the motor and tranny to my Dana 300 case?

Will a auto mount to a Dana 300?

yes but most likely will be a 727 tranny and your front drive shaft may not clear the tranny. It will depend on your front axle and how you clock your transfer case

So I have been told a AX15 will bolt up to my Dana 300.

I found a 92 YJ with a 4.0 / AX15 to use. Has anyone ever done this swap?

Thanks

I looks like the CJ is going to a have a 4.0 HO and a AX15 in it soon.
Making the EFI work should be fun but I have the whole YJ so I'm sure I will work it out.
