Seriously considering them for a lift. Anyone have any experience? I have heard all the bushing issues have been resolved.

not trying to sway you one way or another but i ran there 6.5" kit on an xj and thought it was great. there products have come a long way and i have installed several 4" on tjs, two 4" and one 6" kit on xjs and some other add on parts and have had no complaints. i would recomend getting new leave springs where applicable because the add a leaves are only as good as your existing springs are. basically my oppinion is its alot of bang for the buck

back many years ago I put a 4" RC lift on my little beat up XJ and beat the crap out of it even more. I ended up snapping a coil spring in the front called them and got killer customer service and got a new one over nighted on there dime . A buddy of mine had the same thing happen around the same time. They ( Rough Country ) revamped the company and turned them selves around to the point that they have some goods products IMHO. Have not heard much negitive at all from the newer product line .

I think the value is great. I have had my lift on & abuse it fairly well with no complaints besides the add-a-leaves & trackbar relocator bracket. Everything installed fine but bracket just kept coming loose, so I welded it in place; now it stays there. the AALs didnt work out well with my old leaves, I sent them a pic of the day I installed them to show that they didnt give me any lift; they overnighted new ones to me on their dime & I tried them but no luck either. I just got some S10 leaves to take care of the problem eventually.
Great customer service, good product, cheap price. http://www.jcwhitney.com/suspension-...x?skuId=325892 Looks like it still only comes with brake line relocation brackets, you'll prob need some longer brake lines too. |

The LA kit comes with brake lines, a skid plate, 6.5 coils, 2 inch shackles, 4.5 springs, and the upgraded shocks for $1250. The next closest kit from anyone is $2800.

looks like $1106 out the door at JCW + tax for total of $1178, kit should have disconnects in it, the 4.5" did. Add a trackbar & SYE & you're set.
but, with larger tires you just may have to totally redo the whole steerign setup for longer life & better manners. |
