Transmission damage

Blew a tranny cooler line in my truck. Had to put 5 quarts in to get it back to full. Everything seems OK. At what point does something like that damage your tranny?

If the trans is slipping, it can hurt the clutch packs.

This happened yesterday and so far it seems like it's okay. The only thing I have noticed is when you let off the brake it rolls

Check the remaining fluid ..If it overheated, the fluid will be dark in color with a burnt smell.I've changed fluid before and kept on trucking.
