Install-H2 tool box
Not really sure if you guys would care that much as I think I am the only Hummer guy here but I thought I would post it anyway.
I got tired of my tool box taking up floor space. Then making noise when heading down the road or trail. So I got a little creative with some waisted space. (Please forgive the Picture Quality I took these with my Blackberry) I used my old spare tire mount and got some ideas together Had some fun with a wiz wheel Built a nice shelf and drilled holes through it and into the spare tire carrier then threaded them. I ran 10 1/4-20 screws and counter sunk them into the wood. Its super strong. I carpeted the self to make it quiet and look nice. Then used turn buckels to mount the tool box. Is a nice good quality box that is ball bearing an built really tite so it makes no noise going down the road.

Nice work, just looks like you lost some more visibility putting it up there. But no more than the stock spare would have taken up. I have to assume you're already SURE it's secure mounting it directly behind your head in the event of a wreck.

Visibility was hardly compromised. Alot less than when the spare tire used to be in the truck. Yes as you can tell I built that thing to make sure that it was very stout to keep it safe.

Very nice... But will that lid open?
I knew the H2s were tall, but that'd suggest a whole heck of a lot of headroom... Robert
